Iran: Workers and employees laid-off

NCRI – In the city of Bandar-Abbas, 23 employees of the Bus Drivers Company were laid-off. They had not been paid for two months.

One of the expelled workers, who wanted to remain anonymous, revealed that “the expelled workers were engaged in managing, inspection, and supplying fuel.”

Khoonsorkh Company engaged in mineral substances such as copper, zinc and etc. in this city threatened 20 of its workers to be expelled in the near future.

This company had also previously expelled 40 of its workers in the past few months. The workers threatened to be expelled have not even received three months of their payment.

Workers of Iran Sadra ship making in the city of Bushehr have also been unpaid for three months of their salary and are hired as contract workers, despite working full time.

A worker said that Iran Sadra Company is now working half time due to economic sanctions and a slump in the market; therefore the 500 workers of this company are currently in an undetermined condition.
