NCRI – A senior mullah of the Iranian regime explained the reasons for Iran’s suffering economy. He said that subsidies, banks and smuggling are to blame.

Makarem Shirazi said: “Our economy will not reach anywhere if these problems are not resolved … The subsidies were a failed plan from the beginning. Why tens of millions of people who enjoy a decent life be receiving this money.”

“The smuggling issue is truly a riddle. However, despite all the emphasis by officials we are witnessing a large number of trucks filled with goods leaving the country. Therefore, it is obvious these individuals have a government of their own that is not under control. This issue has been raised when $25 billion dollars has been smuggled from the country, which is atrocious … but I don’t know where the problem is that they say another $15 billion is also smuggled.”

Many Iranian banks see the law as something that does not apply to them. If these crucial issues are not sorted out, the problems will continue in Iran.
