Iran’s oil production slumps steeply

NCRI – Iran has slumped to only the OPEC’s fifth biggest oil producer as the regime’s economy lurches further into crisis, the latest figures have revealed.

The monthly report of OPEC – the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries – said Iran has fallen from place in 2012 to now behind Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

OPEC’s Investigation Center said Iran produced 2,695,000 barrels of oil per day in April, but the regime of Iran had refused to reveal the figure for the previous month.

This April’s figure compares to 3,628,000 barrels per day in April 2011 and 2,973,000 in April 2012, exposing the steep slump over the past two years.
