Iran had the highest inflation rate in the world in 2012

NCRI – In the year 2012, Iran had the highest inflation rate among 148 countries across the world, according to the latest report published by the World Economic.

The inflation rate of Iran announced by the World Economic is 30.6 per cent; therefore Iran ranks the highest in the world in inflation, state-run news agency ISNA reported.

The inflation rate of Georgia and Switzerland was negative. Japan also had a zero percent inflation rate in 2012.

Iran, Ethiopia, Malawi, Venezuela, Tanzania, Guinea, Mongolia, Uganda, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria were the world’s leading countries in terms of high inflation in 2012.

The World Economic Forum has announced this ranking based on information published by the International Monetary Fund.
