NCRI – Following the crisis of holding a sham presidential election in Iran, the remarks made by Hassan Rouhani in the press conference on Monday, April 10th were slammed by his opponents. He talked of his clearance in the election and called his opponents liars and traitors. Meanwhile, on April 11th, the state-run Raja News accused Rouhani of betrayal, since he lied about his 100-day plans.

On Monday, April 10th, in response to a question asked by a journalist regarding his 100-day economic plans, Rouhani stated, “When did I say that I would solve the economic issues in 100 days? What I actually said was that I will announce my achievements in 100 days, if I win the election. We must not tell the people lies. This is actually called betrayal.”

Following Rouhani’s speech, the Raja News Website, which is affiliated with Khamenei, disclosed the contradictions between Rouhani’s remarks uttered in 2013 and those on April 10th, 2017.

During Rouhani’s speech in 2013, he stated, “My best-laid plans will solve economic, social, and cultural problems, as well as domestic and international policies. I have also formulated one-month and 100-days plans. We can foster economic developments within a short time.”

Raja News writes about Rouhani’s remarks made on Monday, April 10th, “The President of the 11th government cannot tackle the economic issues even in 100 years. Then, how can he seek the presidential nomination for the upcoming election? What is going to happen in the next 4 years? He will betray the people with his nomination. He has to quit and give the opportunity to others who are capable of solving the economic problems in Iran.”

Another person affiliated with Khamenei named Yaser Jebraili, in an interview with the IRGC News, mocked the claims made by the First Vice President, Eshagh Jahangiri. Yaser Jebraili stated, “The First Vice President asked others, ‘Tell us which developments have not been facilitated during the past 4 years?’ Of course, he is right! The 11th government is actually a development itself!”

“The money supply doubled in this government.

The government’s debts to the banks quadrupled.

The current expenditures of the government tripled.

The short-term foreign debts increased more than 4 times after Iran Nuclear Deal.

Gasoline imports increased by 6 times.

The bank debts tripled.

The imports from China tripled.

This list may be multiplied and developed!” said Jebraili.
