Iran: 60 percent of meat factories are closed in Iran

NCRI – Acting secretary of the Meat Production Cooperation said, “30% of the meat production factories in Iran have been closed, 30% are on the verge of closing down and only 40% is active, however having great problems.”

He added, “This is while in the past two years, around 3million people and their families are living on the production of this industry.”

Mousavi criticized the work of those in the Agricultural Industry and said that the government is neglecting our request based on the exemption of the 5 percent taxes on meat production.

The Acting secretary of the Meat Production Cooperation announced that the yearly production has been 450 thousand tons in the past two years, Tasnim news reported on Sunday.
