Italian FM Terzi strongly condemns terrorism at Camp Liberty, calls for UN-EU support

NCRI –  “It is a serious act of terrorism that deserves the strongest condemnation.” With these words the Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi, condemned the bloody attack against the residents of Camp Liberty in Iraq, an Italian news website reported.

Expressing “closeness and condolences” to the families of the victims, the Italian Foreign Minister expressed “strong hope that the Iraqi Government should work with a sense of responsibility to alleviate the humanitarian emergency, and immediately takes the measures necessary to protect the safety of the residents of Camp Liberty and provide them with a readiness to be accepted abroad. “

“It ‘s at the same time essential – says Terzi – that the European Union and the United Nations make every possible effort to encourage the Iraqi government to resolve the situation of refugees, which is in serious danger of becoming more precarious every day.”

“Italy will continue to do its part,” he said.
