NCRI - A number of international media outlets have reported the terrorist rocket attack carried out on Monday night against members of the main Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) in Camp Liberty, near the Iraqi capital.

British MPs call for international protection for Camp Liberty following the 5th missile attack

Camp Liberty, the residence of members of Iran's democratic opposition, the PMOI, near Baghdad's International Airport, came under a heavy missile attack on Monday, July 4, at 20:35 local time. Parts of the camp was destroyed in the subsequent fire and several camp residents were injured.

Majority of Jordanian lawmakers support rights of PMOI

NCRI - Iranian political prisoner Hassan Sadeqi has written an open letter from inside Iran’s notorious Gohardasht (Rajai-Shahr) Prison exposing the recent activities of the agents of the Iranian regime's Intelligence Ministry against members of Iran's main opposition group, the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK), in Camp Liberty, Iraq.

In recent days the Iranian regime's intelligence (MOIS) agents, posing as relatives of PMOI members, have gone to the gates of Camp Liberty, psychologically torturing the camp residents.

U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee passes resolution on Camp Liberty

NCRI - The United States House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday unanimously approved and referred to the House Floor a bipartisan resolution calling for "safety and security" of the members of the main Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) living in Camp Liberty, Iraq. It was the first resolution of its kind.

Five NGOs urge UN protection for PMOI members in Camp Liberty

NCRI - Five international organizations with United Nations consultative status have issued a statement addressing the UN Human Rights Council session in which they stressed that “there is absolutely no evidence” of an investigation by the Government of Iraq into deadly attacks on members of the main Iranian opposition group People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) in Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty since 2009. They called for an investigation into the “seven massacres of residents, especially that of September 1, 2013 in Ashraf and the slaughter of October 29, 2015 in Camp Liberty.”

British Foreign Office seeks justice over Camp Liberty attack

NCRI - The United Kingdom’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office has in its seasonal update to its Human Rights and Democracy Report highlighted the plight of members of the main Iranian opposition group People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) in Camp Liberty in Iraq.

The “Iraq - in-year update December 2015,” published on Thursday, April 21, 2016 said the overall human rights situation in Iraq remained of grave concern between July and December 2015.

25 rights groups, personalities urge UN to protect Camp Liberty residents

NCRI - More than two dozen human rights organizations and personalities have sent a joint letter to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressing concern over the plight of Iranian dissidents besieged in Camp Liberty, adjacent to Baghdad International Airport in Iraq.

Emphasizing their support for the residents of Camp Liberty, members of the main Iranian opposition group People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK), the co-signatories refer to the numerous rocket barrages staged against the camp and the necessity for an independent probe into these crimes. The Iraqi government is called on to recognize Camp Liberty as a refugee camp to prevent any further such attacks and to lift the cruel siege imposed on these refugees.

IRAN, April 8: Massacre of PMOI (MEK) members in Camp Ashraf, Iraq

NCRI - April 8 marks the 5th anniversary of the massacre of Iranian opposition activists in Camp Ashraf by the Iraqi Army on the orders of then Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki at the behest of the Iranian regime.

Eight unarmed and defenseless women, all members of the main Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK), were either shot at close range or crushed to death under the wheels of armored vehicles when Iraqi forces stormed Camp Ashraf, north of Baghdad, on April 8, 2011.
