Two prominent international figures voice support for NCRI

NCRI – The former Chairman of the US Democratic party and a former Algerian Prime Minister voiced support for the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) last week, Tribune de Genève reported.

The Swiss daily said the former chairman of the Democratic party, Howard Dean, and former Algerian Prime Minister, Sid Ahmed Ghozali, appeared at a conference in Geneva last week discussing international obligations toward Iran and Camp Ashraf.

“The NCRI is campaigning for the protection of Camp Ashraf residents,” the Swiss daily said, referring to the 3,400 members of the main opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) residing in Camp Ashraf, Iraq.

“Howard Dean believes political authorities can no longer ignore this demand,” Tribune de Genève wrote.

According to the paper, Iran is ruled by a religious tyranny that tortures people at home and exports terrorism and violence across the Middle East.

Tribune de Genève added that Sid Ahmed Ghozali believes that the winds of freedom blowing across the Arab world will eventually reach Tehran.
