Two distinguished Palestinian figures support Ashraf residents in Iraq

Two distinguished Palestinian figures support Ashraf residents in Iraq NCRI – Al-Khalil Souss, president of the Palestinian Chamber of Commerce has condemned the ban imposed by Movafagh Al-Ruba'i, Iraq's National Security Advisor on the families of Ashraf residents, preventing them from meeting their relatives in Ashraf city, home to the members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Iraq, the main opposition to the mullahs regime, reported the Iraqi News Agency (INA) from Ramallah on Tuesday.

Two distinguished Palestinian figures support Ashraf residents in Iraq NCRI – Al-Khalil Souss, president of the Palestinian Chamber of Commerce has condemned the ban imposed by Movafagh Al-Ruba'i, Iraq's National Security Advisor on the families of Ashraf residents, preventing them from meeting their relatives in Ashraf city, home to the members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Iraq, the main opposition to the mullahs regime, reported the Iraqi News Agency (INA) from Ramallah on Tuesday.

Khalil Al-Sous told the Iraqi news agency, "We ask the Iraqi government to fulfill its own moral obligations allowing families and relatives of residents of Ashraf to see there. It is the least he can do to help address the many difficulties that they face." 

The report also states that the head of the popular activities in Fatah Movement, Colonel Mohammed Abu Atwan offered support and solidarity with Ashraf. He stressed the need to stand by the families stopped at the gates of the city in difficult conditions and not able to see can their relatives. He called on the Iraqi government to protect these families and children in any way possible.

Ramallah in a show of solidarity worthy and valuable, despite the enormous difficulties facing the Palestinian people, through Fatah has decided to send to residents of Ashraf food, medicines and medical equipment that they have collected for this purpose from people, INA added.  

Colonel Abu Atwan said in this regard: the Palestinian people want to share their aid with their sisters and brothers of Ashraf to reflect the best way the spirit of brotherhood and compassion.

There is a ton of rice, a ton of white flour, half a ton of different foods, canned food and oil, two tons of medicines and medical equipment, and 200 blankets due to cold weather outside the walls of Ashraf.

Fatah is making the necessary contacts to send the aids for Ashraf residents and their families outside the camp, INA said.

"Our brothers and sisters here (in Palestine) are embarrassed for so little support they could come up with. They would have liked to do more, but people here also depend of the aid that comes in from abroad. However, they are whole heatedly and with their soul stand by the residents of Ashraf and continue to help."
