They pronounced themselves in favour of the presence of the PMOI in Iraq, in accordance with the Fourth Geneva Convention. They appealed to the international community to act firmly against the religious dictatorship in Iran, its efforts to acquire nuclear weapons and its meddling in Iraq and the Middle East.
The federal council called on the current Iraqi government to comply with international conventions, in particular regarding the members of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran and their political refugee status in Iraq.
