Terminally ill patients at Ashraf are refused medical help

NCRI – A Yemeni news agency wrote this week, “Dozens of terminally ill Iranians in Camp Ashraf are under siege by Iraqi forces and are not being allowed specialized treatment at hospitals. Iraqi forces are also refusing to allow doctors to enter the camp to perform surgeries.”

Reporting on the pressures and restrictions imposed by the Nouri al-Maliki government on Camp Ashraf, Iraq, where 3,400 Iranian dissidents reside, Yemen’s Taqrir Net dded, “The flow of medicine and other medical necessities has been blocked into Ashraf.”

The news agency printed the full letter of one of Ashraf’s cancer patients, Ms. Elham Fardipour, to UN’s top diplomat in Iraq, Ad Melkert, and added, “It is crucial for the world public to become aware of the realities faced by the residents of Camp Ashraf in Iraq.”
