NCRI – Iraqi daily al-Dastour reported on April 28 that President of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with Iraq called for the withdrawal of the Iraqi military from Ashraf and providing medical services to Camp Ashraf’s residents.

Struan Stevenson added that the issue of Ashraf has attracted a lot of attention in Europe. The issue of Ashraf was the main subjectof discussion between Iraq and the European Union and entered the agenda and their deliberations.

This issue has great importance in Europe. Stevenson said: The European Union had previously called on the Iraqi government to avoid use of violence at camp Ashraf, but since April 8, thirty five people have been killed and the wounded have not received proper medical attention, and this demand has been ignored. The President of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with Iraq added: The solution at Camp Ashraf, where 3500 dissidents live, is not their massacre and deportation; the issue of Camp Ashraf needs a peaceful solution through dialogue and conversation.
