NINA news agency (Iraq), 18 April 2013 – Salman al-Jumaili, head of the Iraqiya coalition in the Iraqi Parliament called on the Iraqi government to “return the member of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) from Camp Liberty immediately back to Camp Ashraf to end the continuous attacks against them. The attacks will lead to suspicions towards the security apparatus that have not been able to prove their competence and professionalism in many incidents.”
“Their transfer from Camp Ashraf in Diyala Province to Camp Liberty in Baghdad Province was a mistake because Baghdad is considered a crisis province witnessing terrorist attacks on a daily basis. Returning them to Camp Liberty is one of the solutions that would end the continuous attacks against them in Camp Liberty,” Salman al-Jumaili added.
