Regime tortures 56 year old mother in Iran

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s agents have subjected a 56-year-old political prisoner to inhumane pressures.

According to Iran Khabar on Monday, Kobra Banazadeh, 56, a mother of one of the residents of Camp Ashraf in Iraq, is suffering from bleeding in the eyes as a result of torture and beatings by the regime’s agents.

Ms. Banazadeh was arrested by the regime’s intelligence ministry in 2008 along with 18 others, including two of her brothers, Hamid and Asghar, all of whom intended to visit Iraq to meet their relatives in Camp Ashraf.

Camp Ashraf, Iraq, is home to 3,400 members of the main Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

Ms. Banazadeh was transferred to Ward 209 of the notorious Evin prison in Tehran after her arrest and was subjected to brutal torture.

Ms. Banazadeh is currently being held at Gohardasht prison in Karaj after she was sentenced to imprisonment in exile.
