NCRI – Considering that Ashraf’s residents have the status of protected persons under the 4th Geneva Convention, guaranteeing their protection is an international necessity and for this reason we consider compulsory relocation of Ashraf residents inside Iraq a non-realistic option.
We also support your emphasis at the European Parliament on May 11, when you once again strongly condemned the massacre of 35 defenseless residents of Ashraf and called for a peaceful solution and active intervention of European commission and European Parliament, and we ask you to immediately implement the necessary actions in order to carry out the proposed European plan and end the atrocities of Iraqi government at Ashraf.
