In a statement to NINA Mutlaq said: “The presence of the residents of Ashraf Camp in Iraq is legal and legitimate since its residents considered political refugees covered by the Fourth Geneva Convention.
Mutlaq added: “The forcible transfer of Ashraf residents is contrary to international law, and if it done that would be resulted of external pressures.”
Mutlaq pointed out : “The matter of Ashraf residents became of an international character looking at how political decision-making after the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq”
