Italian parliamentarian expresses concern over abduction of PMOI members in Iraq

Luigi Giacco member of the Italian parliament Concerned over the clerical regime’s meddling in Iraq and recent abduction of two members of the PMOI in that country Mr. Luigi Giacco member of the Italian parliament wrote to Iraqi Prime Minister and said:

 “According to a statement by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), Two members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), Messrs. Hossein Pouyan and Mohammad-Ali Zahedi, were abducted by Iraq’s Interior Ministry Special Forces at 12:30 pm, Thursday, August 4, 2005, in Baghdad.

“According to PMOI, Both individuals are ‘protected persons’ under the Fourth Geneva Convention. Therefore I ask for your immediate intervention to seek the release of these abducted persons.”
