Iraqiya advisor urges respect for the rights of Ashraf residents

NCRI – An advisor to the Iraqiya list has called for respect for the rights of Camp Ashraf residents in accordance with International Humanitarian Law.

In an interview with al-Malaf website, Hani Ashour pointed to the threats broadcast against the residents using loudspeakers around the camp, saying, “Such treatment completely runs counter to humanitarian, religious and international law principles.”

 

He added, “Iraq must be seen in a manner that is becoming of a civilized nation with a long history. It must stand for Islamic and humanitarian morals.”

Camp Ashraf, Iraq, is home to 3,400 members of the main Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
