He also called on the United Nations to dismantle hundreds of loudspeakers placed around the camp by the Iranian regime to psychologically torture the residents.
According to al-Malaf website, Mesal al-Alousi said, “The Iranian rulers are trying to increase the pressure on Ashraf residents through their agents.”
Camp Ashraf, Iraq, is home to 3,400 members of the main Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
Mr. al-Alousi called on the UN to help dismantle more than 210 loudspeakers around the camp because the loudspeakers “are set up there in flagrant violation of human rights.”
“The reports we’ve heard about these loudspeakers are unacceptable. They are used to broadcast the regime’s propaganda,” he added.
