Iraqi political party calls for providing normal living conditions for the Iranian dissidents

NCRI – The National Action Democratic Party of Iraq urged the Government of Iraq to “respect the rights of Iranian refugees in Camp Ashraf because they are subject to protection under the Fourth Geneva Convention on Human Rights,” NINA (National Iraqi News Agency) reported on Friday.
Shaker Ketab, member of the National Action Democratic Party, in a remark to the press said that “the PMOI in Iraq is under the Fourth Geneva Convention… Iraq being a part of the international system must be committed to international conventions and covenants, and has a duty apart from political allegiances, to provide the residents in Camp Liberty with normal living conditions.»

He reiterated that ”The international organizations and the United Nations must abide by their responsibilities in providing the humanitarian needs and necessities for camp Liberty residents. “These organizations must not be apathetic to the pressures exerted on the residents because they are responsible for the protection of these refugees.”
