In an article published on Arabic language al-Malaf website, Abbas wrote: The human catastrophe carried out by the government forces against the protected persons of Ashraf, the pictures of which were seen by everyone on their TV screens, led to the killing of 11 people and wounding of 500 more. It was a clear case of violation of the inalienable rights of these refugees. The Geneva Conventions forbid abusing and harassing those who are protected by them. Those who ordered and those who carried out this catastrophe must be brought to a just trial.
