Iraqi lawmaker rejects Maliki claim, calls for release Camp Ashraf hostages

NCRI – A member of Iraqi parliament ruled out denials by Maliki’s government regarding detention of seven hostages of Camp Ashraf and called for the release of Iranian dissidents.

, from al-Iraqiya coalition said that government cannot deny its role in the September 1 massacre because there is a collection of undeniable evidence on the prominent role played by Iraq’s armed forces.

Al-Zobe’ie called on government of Iraq not to hide information about the hostages and their fates.

He called on U.S., UNAMI and the High Commissioner for Refugees to use all their resources to immediately free the hostages of Ashraf.

At the behest of the Iranian regime, the Iraqi forces under the command of Nouri al-Maliki attacked Camp Ashraf on September 1 and killed 52 members of the Iranian opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

Seven residents including 6 women were taken hostages by the Iraqi forces.
