Iraqi lawmaker condemns storming Ashraf

Rep. Mason DamalujiNCRI – Rep. Mason Damaluji from Iraqi National Front, in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency (INA), condemned attempts to storm the Ashraf City. Use of electric batons to hit the civilian guards of the camp on the order of the Iraqi National Security Advisor, Muwaffaq al-Rubaie is not acceptable. She said that such moves are at the behest of the mullahs' regime.

The Iraqi troops prevent food and other supplies from reaching the camp, she said.

We were at one time opposition in exile ourselves. We had never been exposed to such harsh treatments. Now the PMOI members are unarmed and seek protection. I believe that such treatment of the PMOI is insulting.

Iraqi people are proud and brave and would not accept such behaviors, she added.

The office of Iraqi National Security Advisor is an American establishment. However, I believe it is serving the mullahs' regime at this time and not the Iraqi people. Mr. al-Rubaie should be held accountable for his actions.
