Iraqi jurist and human rights activists Adel Saeedi said the United Nations Security Council must issue obligatory resolutions to impel the Iraqi government to practice an approach towards the residents of camps Ashraf and Liberty according to international laws, respect their rights and stop efforts to confiscate their property.
The Iraqi government, by neglecting Ashraf residents’ rights and property, is creating tension in this regard, he added. The residents of these camps have the rights to take advantage of their assets, facilities, water purification site, power generators and other property they possess in Camp Ashraf, Saeedi continued
