Iraqi Bar Association condemns attacks on Ashraf

NCRI – The Bar Association in Iraq’s Salahuddin province has condemned the January 7 attack against Camp Ashraf by Iraqi forces loyal to the Iranian regime and its proxies. A member of the Bar, Ammar Hamid al-Azawi, said that those who commit such heinous crimes are not from among the Iraqi people.

Mr. al-Azawi said, “We strongly condemn the crimes that were committed at Ashraf’s southern flank. Some of the thugs that were brought in buses threw stones and broken glass at Ashraf residents. As a result 176 people, including 91 women, were injured.”

“This was a criminal act which was a violation of human rights. Those who went to the gates of Ashraf to do were not part of the Iraqi people,” he said.
