Iraq protesters call for the release of Camp Ashraf hostages

NCRI – The Iraqi citizens protesting the repressive policies of Iraqi government of Nouri al-Maliki’s on Friday condemned the September 1 attack on Camp Ashraf and called for the release of the seven residents taken hostage.

In the province of Al-Anbar the protesters carried banners that read: “We, the residents of al-Anbar strongly condemn the massacre at Camp Ashraf and we call for the immediate release the seven Ashraf residents taken hostage, including six women. (see photo)

The Iraqi forced under the command of Nouri al-Maliki attack Camp Ashraf on September 1 and executed 52 members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). Many were killed while handcuffed.

In the city of Falujah protesters carried banners called on international organization to act immediately to release Camp Ashraf hostages that are being held in al-Maliki’s prison in Baghdad.

They urged international action to prevent the Iraqi government from transferring them to Iran to face torture and execution.

The millions anti-Maliki protesters also condemned the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq.
