Honoring Camp Ashraf’s martyrs by the noble people of Salahuddin Province in northern Iraq

NCRI – Holding traditional commemorative ceremonies, people of Iraqi Province of Salahuddin honored the memories of heroic martyrs of Camp Ashraf. People from various social strata participated in these ceremonies; some of the participants condemned the massacre of Camp Ashraf residents by Nouri al-Maliki’s forces under Khamenei’s orders and called for most expedited withdrawal of occupying forces from camp Ashraf. They also called for an investigating committee, with UN representation, to conduct an independent and transparent investigation of the April 8th crime.

 

Speakers at the ceremonies announced that Salahuddin Province residents, including the Sheikhs, personalities and tribe members, condemned the criminal actions and massacre perpetrated by the Iraqi army at Ashraf on April 8th that resulted in the death of 35 defenseless residents, including 8 women. They also called for the withdrawal of the Iraqi forces from Camp Ashraf and formation of a UN committee to investigate this crime.
