“We, in al-Iraqia reconfirm that residents of Camp Ashraf are covered by international conventions and it is the duty of the Iraqi government to treat them accordingly, because they are, in this regard, protected by the international conventions,” Zeydan said.
“We call on the Iraqi government to form a ministerial-level committee for dialogue with Camp Ashraf residents with the mission of achieving a solution. Under no circumstances should force be used, as this is not acceptable by the people of Iraq. They have the right to utilize all legal avenues that they have access to, in order to enjoy their rights,” the Iraqi Parliament member Zeydan said.
