Diyala residents condemn Iranian regime, back Camp Ashraf

NCRI – The residents of the Iraqi province of Diyala, including many youths and university students, have posted signs and placards on city walls condemning the Iranian regime’s meddling in their province, the Iraqi news agency reported last week.

They have also called for the lifting of the siege on Camp Ashraf, situated in the province and home to 3,400 members of the main Iranian opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

The Iraqi news agency said, “In the Baldarouz and Mandali regions of Diyala, tribal leaders and intellectuals organized a session calling for an end to the unjust siege on Ashraf. Participants called on the United Nations to post a monitoring team in the camp.”
