Bring Camp Ashraf massacre terrorists to justice, U.S. congressman demands

NCRI – The Iraqi terrorists who massacred 52 residents of Camp Ashraf, members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) on September 1 should be brought to justice, US Congressman has Bard Sherman demanded.

California Democrat Brad Sherman also urged the US to insist that Iraq restores 17,500 anti-blast T-walls to Camp Liberty to protect residents there from further attacks.

He said in a speech at a briefing in U.S. Congress on Thursday: “The September 1 raid on Camp Ashraf has filled us all with anger and with dread. The idea that the Iraqi government had nothing to do with it, is an admission by the Iraqi government that they are ignoring their international obligation to defend Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty.”

“It is time to use all of our diplomatic pressure to state that we have to honor the UN resolutions. We have to honor international law.”

“That starts by restoring the 17,500 T-walls. I am proud to have joined with Ted Poe, chair and ranking member on the Terrorism and Non-Proliferation Subcommittee, to condemn the previous attacks on Camp Liberty and to call for those terrorists to be brought to justice.”
