Al-Majallah: U.S. violated Geneva Convention and is responsible for protection of Ashraf

On U.S. responsibility for protection of Ashraf residents, the Saudi Arabia newspaper al-Majallah website wrote on July 16 that: “The responsibility for solving this issue, which is the most urgent issue, lies with the United States.”

Al-Majallah’s report continued: This is the best time “for Obama administration to do what the previous administration didn’t” and stand against the Iranian regime by removing People’s Mojahedin from the State Department’s list.

 “The United States was already aware of Iraqi government’s positions against Camp Ashraf and yet it transferred the responsibility of protecting Ashraf to this government; in so doing, it violated article 45 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.” Al-Majallah wrote.
