Ahmadinejad’s next week gathering is illegal – Iranian regime MPs

NCRI – A member of the national security commission in the Iranian regime’s parliament has said that the gathering scheduled to be held next week by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a stadium in Tehran is an election campaign activity and therefore illegal.

Mohammad Ali Asefri said that the holding of this gathering is a clear example of taking advantage from the public property and people’s money to pay for election campaign.

He added: The parliament disagrees with such gatherings. However, if this gathering took place, an investigation into the sources of its expenditure and its aims will be launched.

On April 9, Another member of the parliament, Avaz Haidarpour, in remarks on the ‘election meeting’ by Ahmadinejad in the Freedom Stadium said this is like “rallying forces” against the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Many of opponents of Ahmadinejad have criticized the gathering that is going to be held in Tehran’s Freedom Stadium next Thursday.
