Iran coronavirus news: Khamenei tries to cover-up botched efforts to curb COVID-19 epidemic

More than 4,000 people in Iran had lost their lives to the novel coronavirus, according to reports obtained by the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) on Friday night. The figure officially declared by the government is 514, a number that is disputed even by the regime’s own officials.

As the virus continues to spread across country and claim more lives, Iranian officials are trying to cover up their failed attempts to prevent the spread of the virus. The regime also knows that its mishandling of the situation has caused public outrage and is preparing to counter potential protests.

Baroness Boothroyd: The UK Government must recognize the Iranian Resistance movement NCRI

In a conference in the United Kingdom’s House of Commons on Tuesday, February 25, cross-party Members of Parliament, members of the House of Lords, prominent jurists and women’s rights activists discussed women’s rights in Iran and the struggle for democratic change in the run-up to International Women’s Day, on March 8. The event was organized by the British Committee for Iran Freedom.

Former Speaker of the House of Commons, Baroness Boothroyd said: “The UK Government now with its huge majority must recognize and back the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people, their organized Resistance movement NCRI, and support Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point democratic platform as the viable alternative to the current religious dictatorship.”

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Saturday, March 14, 2020, marks the 121st day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
