The meddling by mullahs’ regime in Iranian football caused suspension from the international games

A shameful, inhuman and anti-Iranian move by the regime

NCRI – The International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) suspended the mullahs’ regime from participating in the international games because of its meddling in Iran’s Football Federation’s affairs, reported the state-run new agency Fars on 23 November.

The FIFA official website reported, “The FIFA Emergency Committee, composed of the FIFA President and one representative of each of the six confederations, yesterday (22 November 2006) decided to suspend the Islamic Republic of Iran Football Federation (IRIFF) from all international activity due to government interference in football matters and violation of Article 17 of the FIFA Statutes.”

The site added, “In August 2006, FIFA and the AFC gave the IRIFF a deadline of 15 November 2006 to reinstate its elected president, Dr. Mohammed Dadgan, and to comply with the relevant provisions of the FIFA Statutes. This deadline was not met by the IRIFF. “

Breaking laws, and blackmail by the mullahs’ regime is not limited to political matters, rather, it covers all aspects of the civilized live. The bloods of the beloved captain of the Iranian National Soccer Team, Habib Khaberi in the late 80s, as well as many other distinguished Iranian national athletes who were executed by the mullahs’ regime, are still on the hands of the regime.

The Iranian Resistance condemns all lawbreaking moves by the illegitimate and hated mullahs’ regime and calls on all international organs to condemn and isolate it.
