Seizure of explosives from Iran at Italian port makes full trade embargo on regime more serious

Sample ImageNCRI – The seizure of a 7-tonne shipment of high explosives for military purposes belonging to the Iranian regime at Italy’s Gioia Tauro port reveals some of the clerical regime’s ominous terrorist designs outside of Iran. The T4 explosives had reached the Italian port from Iran and were discovered and seized after a sophisticated inspection.

The Iranian Resistance warns European officials and countries in the Middle East about the ominous designs of the religious fascism ruling Iran, and stressed on the need to impose comprehensive sanctions against the regime, in particular ceasing trade with it. The clerical regime transfers weapons, ammunition and explosives under the guise of food or drug shipments. In March 1996, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) smuggle into Belgium a large 320-mm mortar launcher hidden in food containers to carry out terrorist plans. The shipment was seized at Belgian port of Antwerpen.

Unable to confront growing political and economic crises coupled with rising social dissent, the Iranian regime has resorted to intensifying its export of terrorism and crises to other countries in the region. Any appeasing or conciliatory approach towards the regime would embolden the regime in its policies. Export of terrorism and plans to dominate the region are an inseparable and critical element of the mullahs’ policies to preserve their rule, which is loathed by the Iranian people.
