Al-Maliki provided him a report about his suppressive measures to close camp Ashraf and to relocate its residents to “Liberty prison”. In the meeting, al-Maliki received instructions and new briefings about continuing suppression of Ashraf and Liberty residents, expediting the closure of Ashraf and other conspirators against them.
IRGC commander who is dubbed as the “real ruler of Iraq” discussed the necessary measures by the Government of Iraq on ways to expand and complete Qods force’s dominance on Iraq’s security and military apparatus as well as coordination between two parties to suppress Syrian people’s uprising. He detailed al-Maliki’s task in this regard.
Simultaneous with al-Maliki’s visit, Alaalddin Borojerdi, the head of Iranian regime parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, who is the Khamenei’s kin, declared that “PMOI’s expulsion from Camp Ashraf is a valuable step taken by the Iraqi government and officials. With existing close ties between the two countries, al-Maliki’s visit is considered an important element in a series of cooperation between the two countries.” While stressing on cooperation with regards to Syria, he expressed hope that Turkey would change its policy towards Syria.
Iranian regime’s state-run media reported that during his visit to Tehran, al-Maliki’s would discuss “expansion of economic ties, developments in Syria, the next round of talks with 5+1 in Baghdad, and PMOI’s expulsion from Iraq.”
Al-Maliki who is very unpopular and isolated inside Iraq and the region, more than ever is implementing the orders of Iranian regime in order to help him suppress or silence his opposition thus saving him from leaving office. In recent days various Iraqi political groups which include groups among al-Maliki’s own allies in “National Unity ,” have called for his removal from office. The Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei met with al-Maliki to show his support and prevent his removal. To strengthen al-Maliki, the Iranian regime’s state-run media have been directed to publish propagandas supporting him.
