NCRI – While the faltering Iranian regime, faced with the Iranian Resistance’s advances and the July 16 ruling of Washington, DC, Court of Appeals in favor of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), a member of the mullahs’ parliamentary committee on national security, Ebrahimi, produced a preposterous lie on July 19 saying, “There are signs indicating that the move in the terrorist incident of Zahedan is similar to methods used by the PMOI… In Zahedan’s terrorist incident the role of the PMOI in some of the trends is evident since they are present in all activities of this kind under different names.” (Iran Shabakeh state-run website, July 19, 2010)
His blatant lie contradicts previous remarks by the regime’s officials of different ranks including the Interior Ministry’s undersecretary on security affairs and Majlis (mullahs’ parliament) deputies blaming the bombing in Zahedan on “agents affiliated to Rigi terrorist grouplet” and “secret services of the United States and the Zionist regime” in order to “show that Iran is an unsecure country” (State-run media reports).
