Maryam Rajavi calls for immediate measures to stop mullahs bombing Iraqi Kurdistan

NCRI – Despite international condemnations of the mullahs’ regime for shelling people of Iraqi Kurdistan, the brutal attacks continue.

President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi emphasized that the Resistance has always condemned the regime’s crimes against people of Iraqi Kurdistan. She called on the international community to adopt urgent measures to stop these aggressions.

Mrs. Rajavi expressed her condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in recent attacks. She condemned the shelling which has resulted in killing and wounding a number of innocent Kurdish villagers.

She reminded that such suppressive actions by the Iranian regime are in breach of international conventions and UN resolutions and called on the Multi-National Force-Iraq, UN Security Council, Arab League, European Union, countries in the Middle East, and the international community to condemn the regime and adopt preventive measures against it.

Mrs. Rajavi said that the religious fascism, from the very first weeks of its rule began the brutal suppression of our Kurdish compatriots and soon extended the scope of its actions to Iraqi Kurdistan. In past two decades, the mullahs’ agents assassinated many leaders, activists, and members of Iranian Kurdish parties in Austria, Germany, and Iraq as well as other parts of the world.

Shelling Kurdish villages in Iraq is a part of the regime’s policy of exporting fundamentalism and terrorism abroad. This regime has carried out more than 450 terrorist operations against members and supporters of the Iranian Resistance as well as Iranian political refugees, asylum seekers, and ordinary citizens in other countries.
