NCRI – The Iranian Resistance strongly condemns an assassination attempt on the Free Syrian Army commander Riad al-Assad and wishes him a speedy recovery
Colonel al-Assad was among the first Syrian Army officers to defect from the Bashar al-Assad regime and establish the Free Syrian Army when the popular uprising began.
The mullahs’ regime, which cannot hide its happiness of the terrorist attack, using its own usual culture of words called the Free Syrian Army a “terrorist grouplet” and launched a smear campaign against Col. Riyadh al-Assad.
Undoubtedly, with the support of the heroic people of Syria, the Free Syrian Army will bring down Bashar al-Assad’s dictatorship, which is hanging on power with the all-out support by the Iranian regime and its terrorist Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
