Iranian Resistance condemns terrorist acts in Iraqi cities

The explosions in Iraq, as part of mullahs' plans to influence the Iraqi election results, seeks to prevent Iraqis from participating in election thus allowing the Iranian regime's agents to take advantage

NCRI – The Iranian Resistance condemns the blind and cruel terrorist acts on election day in Baghdad and other cities across Iraq, which so far have left at least 24 killed and 70 injured.

The terrorist acts are part of the clerical regime's criminal plan to influence the Iraqi election results and to prevent a victory by nationalist and democratic Iraqi forces.  On March 6, the NCRI stated that the implementation of the plan had been assigned to Quds Force and the Iranian regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security by Khamenei, mullahs' Supreme Leader, and the regime's Supreme National Security Council.

The wave of bombings, shelling and explosions are mainly carried out in cities and areas with majority of Sunni population to create insecurity thus prevent people from participating in the elections and therefore leave the fields to the Iranian regime's agents.

The NCRI's December 8, 2009 statement on the role of the Iranian regime in Iraqi explosions said: "Based on reliable information and documents from inside the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards Corps and the terrorist Quds Force, the ruling clerics in Iran are the main force behind bombings in Iraq. However, some Iraqi officials are trying to cover up the Iranian regime’s role in the bombings and divert the attentions from the main source of terrorism and insecurity."

While expressing solidarity with families of the victims of explosions and wishing for the swift recovery of those injured, the Iranian Resistance emphasizes that any impartial investigation will certainly reveal Iranian regime's links to the terrorist acts.
