NCRI – As reported by Iran’s state media, Manouchehr Mottaki, mullahs’ Foreign Minister will visit Spain and Portugal next week.

Iranian Resistance calls for the cancellation of his visits as they are used by the illegitimate clerical regime to justify internal suppression, continuation of nuclear projects and export of terrorism. It is widely acknowledge that the inhumane clerical regime is hated by entire Iranian nation and has no future.

Shaking hands with Mottaki brings no honor to anyone as he is the envoy of a regime which has executed 120,000 of its opponents particularly supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI), the main opposition organization for their insistence on human rights and democracy.

Over the past year, mullahs’ regime murdered hundreds of protestors and arrested thousands subjecting them to the most savage tortures including sexual abuse, and sentenced to death dozens of others for supporting the PMOI and charged with Moharebeh (waging war on God).

Mottaki played an active role in arrest and suppression of dissidents, in particular organizing terrorist acts against them.

While he was the regime's ambassador in Turkey, Mottaki organized scores of terrorist operations against the regime's opponents. In 1988, terrorists under his command abducted a member of the PMOI in Istanbul and tortured him in the regime's consulate. The Turkish Police rescued the PMOI member near the Iranian border while he was being transferred to Iran in the trunk of a vehicle with diplomatic license plate of the clerical regime.

In a cross party initiative, majority members of the Spanish Parliament condemned the suppression of Iranian people's uprising and expressed their support for the uprising and the organized resistance.

In their statement, the Spanish parliamentarians stipulated: "We support opposition leader Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s ‘third option’ for democratic change by the people and Resistance and urge the United Nations Security Council, the Council of Europe and the European Union to take urgent action for the release of political prisoners and prevent the suppression of the uprising. Continued relations with Iran must be based on complete improvement of human rights. The United Nations must protect Ashraf residents, and US forces must guarantee they would not face violence or forcible displacement in Iraq.

The Spanish MPs are part of 3,500 transatlantic lawmakers, including 23 Parliamentary majorities who expressed their support for Iranian people's uprising and the Iranian Resistance in recent weeks.
