The mullahs do not value the lives of their lower ranks

Time has come to leave the barracks and hand over weapons, equipment, and documents to the people

On March 23, 2020, the IRGC affiliated news agency (YJC), quoting the IRGC Brigadier General Nasrollah Fathian, addressed “the concerns about the outbreak of the virus in military barracks.” Fathian, who is the director of coordination with the executive organs at the National Coronavirus Combat Taskforce, claimed, “From the first days, Health Protocols were implemented, lengthy trainings were reduced or halted, and rallies were minimized.” “According to the decision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, “Imam Reza’s plan” to hygiene the environment, individuals and food were being implemented. So far, no epidemic has been reported in training camps,” he added.

Earlier, the IRGC Brigadier General Habibollah Jan-Nessari, Deputy Chief for Police Education and Training Department, said on March 3, 2020, “Police training garrisons are safe and free of any viruses and diseases …  I reassure the families of dear soldiers, there is no need to worry; our sensitivity to the health of our dear soldiers is certainly no less, if not more than that of the families.” (Moj News Agency)

Earlier, Army’s Chief of Staff and deputy coordinator, Habibollah Sayyari, stressed that “regarding some concerns raised in the community and by the families of the soldiers… the level of hygiene, prevention, and confronting the Coronavirus (in the army) is far better than the level in the community… We have had no suspicious cases, and this shows that the condition of our garrisons is much better than the level of the society, and we can say that the health condition of the garrisons is better than people’s houses.” (Khabar Online- February 29).

The documents of the National Emergency Organization prove that these claims are false. The regime’s military, police, and IRGC centers are entirely contaminated with the Coronavirus. The mullahs do not care about the subordinates, particularly the soldiers and junior officers.

The time has come to leave the barracks and hand over weapons, equipment, and documents to the people.
