Foruzandeh, a commander of Qods Force, Tehran’s terrorist arm

NCRI – The Revolutionary Guards Brigadier General Ahmed Foruzandeh, Deputy Commander of Ramadan Garrison of Qods Force, who has been blacklisted for threatening the peace and stability of Iraq, is a veteran Revolutionary Guard Corps commander with a long record in suppression, criminal acts and export of terrorism:

1- He has played an active role in commanding terrorist operations in Iraq since 1980s. He is also known as Adnan or Abu Shahab among Iraqi terrorist mercenaries of the clerical regime.

2- For many years he commanded Fajr Garrison in Ahwaz, a subdivision of the Ramadan Garrison. In this capacity, he led terrorist groups in Iraq including Badr Brigade, Sarollah Movement and Seyed ol-Shohada Movement.

3- Many terrorist operations against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Iraq were planned and commanded by him. Bombing of Habib Base belonged to the PMOI in Basra is one of such operations. In this incident dozens of the PMOI members were killed and wounded.

4- Following the abovementioned operation which was carried out in cooperation with one of the leaders of Badr Brigade known as Ahmed Rashed, Foruzandeh was elevated to the Deputy Commander of Ramadan Garrison. A post he still holds. 

5- The Ramadan Garrison with its four tactical bases: Fajr in the southern city of Ahwaz, Zafar in the western city of Kermanshah, Raad and Nasser in the northwestern cities of Marivan and Naqadeh on the Iranian side of the border provide logistic support for the Qods Force operations in Iraq. Foruzandeh’s deputies are Brig. Gen. Obeidavi, Brig. Gen. Balalek, and Col. Heidar Saki.

6- Many Iraqi dignitaries and independent personalities who strongly oppose the mullahs’ meddling in Iraq have been the target of hit squads organized by Foruzandeh.

7- Since early 2003 and shortly before the war broke out in Iraq, Foruzandeh setup a crisis room in Qods Force headquarters in Tehran allowing him to plan for further interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.

8- Abu Mehdi Mohandess known as Jamal Jafar Mohammad Ali Al-Ibrahimi with his Iranian identity, Jamal Ibrahimi, is one of the most ruthless veteran officers of the IRGC with long track record in terrorism across the Middle East, in particular Kuwait. He is wanted by the Interpol for the deadly explosions of American and British embassies in Kuwait in 1984. He operated under the Brig. Gen. Foruzandeh. In fear of arrest, he fled to Iran. 
 
9- Of other terrorist networks under his command is Abumustafa Al-Shibani sought by the Coalition Forces in Iraq.

10- On January 11, 2007, Foruzandeh and Brig. Gen. Mohammad Jafari Sahraroudi of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and current deputy Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) traveled to Iraqi Kurdistan for briefing the terrorist groups belonging to IRGC. However, when the US forces raided and arrested a number of IRGC officers and operatives in Arbil, the two escaped back to Kermanshah.  

11- Brig. Gen. Foruzandeh runs close to 400 front organizations for the Qods Force’s terrorist activities such as the Holy Shrines’ Rebuilding Construction Company, Korsar and Mobin organizations in Iraq. They are in the business of supplying arms, equipment, and EFPs to the country.
