• IRGC battalions from Kermanshah, Esfahan, Qom, Gilan, Fars, Khorasan, Khuzestan… at war with Syrian people
• Hundreds of IRGC commanders and militias killed, including officers from armored and artillery units
• Khamenei’s message to Putin: We shall continue with the war in Syria with all our resources
In recent weeks, the religious fascism ruling Iran has considerably ramped up its criminal dispatch of forces to Syria amassing tens of thousands of its Revolutionary Guards and non-Iranian mercenaries around Aleppo to cruelly slaughter the deprived people of villages, townships and towns in this region in tandem with the brutal bombings of the civilians. Last week, dozens of IRGC commanders and hundreds of mercenaries were killed at the Aleppo front.
Through this criminal muscle-flexing, the Iranian regime’s supreme leader Khamenei is desperately trying to conceal the escalating domestic crises on the verge of the sham Assembly of Experts and parliamentary elections. Following the regime’s retreat from the nuclear weapons project these crises have escalated in an unprecedented manner. Some of the IRGC units and militias at the Aleppo front are as follows:
1. Two battalions from Nabi Akram Corps from Kermanshah Province. These two battalions were briefed by Commander of Nabi Akram Corps IRGC Brigadier General Bahman Rahmani prior to their dispatch and received 25 days of training on their Syrian mission in Kermanshah. In the past 40 days these battalions have suffered dozens of casualties in Syria.
2. Two battalions from IRGC Division 17 called Ali Ibn Abi Taleb from Qom. These two battalions were stationed in Syria in late December and have so far suffered many casualties which include several of their commanders.
3. Two battalions from IRGC Operational Division called Qods from Gilan Province.
4. Two battalions from IRGC Corps called Javad al-Aammeh from Northern Khorasan.
5. Battalions from Independent Armored Brigade 21 called Imam Reza from Nayshabour whose commander IRGC Brigadier General Mohsen Qajarian was recently killed in northern Aleppo. Other officers from this brigade have been previous taken prisoner or killed in Syria.
6. Several battalions from Fars Province corps. Colonel Safdar Haidari, deputy commander of this corps’ artillery, was killed at the Aleppo front in recent days.
7. Battalions from Division 14 called Imam Hossein from Esfahan Province.
8. Battalions from Division 7 called Vali-e Asr from Khuzestan Province.
9. Several battalions of Iranian regime’s Afghan elements called Fatemiyoun that have been recently dispatched to Aleppo and have suffered high casualties in recent days.
10. Battalions from Hezbollah whose commander is an individual called Zolfaqar.
11. Various battalions from Iraqi militias such as from the 9th Badr Corps, Al-Nojaba Movement, Kata’ib Hezbollah, Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Abolfazl al-Abbas Brigade, and Imam Ali battalions.
12. The Revolutionary Guards entering the towns of Nabul and al-Zahra in northern Aleppo were accompanied by a number of clerics. One of them is Ali Ka’abi, son to cleric Abbas Ka’abi who is a member of the Assembly of Experts. Another cleric is called Sheik Abbas. Haj Karbala, an IRGC commander (son to Seyyed Javad, commander of IRGC forces in Aleppo), along with two commanders of the Lebanese Hezbollah have been stationed in Nabul and al-Zahra since around two weeks ago.
According to Khamenei’s directives, the IRGC has avoided any clashes with ISIS and is just fighting against the Free Syrian Army and the Syrian opposition forces.
According to reports from inside the Iranian regime, following the lifting of sanctions, Khamenei has ordered extra assets to be allocated to the IRGC, Hezbollah, and the criminal militias for the war in Syria. On February 3, Khamenei’s advisor Ali Akbar Velayati conveyed a message from Khamenei to Russian President Putin in Moscow concerning continuation of the war in Syria with all resources.
