Sham Elections – No. 1
The Iranian regime’s spectrum of leaders are pleading and calling on the people to actively participate in the sham elections for the parliament and the Assembly of Experts which are nothing but a rivalry and a power struggle between various murderers and perpetrators of crime against humanity.
The candidates of the rival ruling factions have all, in the past three decades, played major roles in the crimes of the religious fascism ruling Iran. For example, the candidates of the Rafsanjani and Rouhani faction include four ministers of intelligence of this regime; namely Mohammad Mohammadi Rayshahri, Qorbanali Dori Najafabadi, Ali Fallahian and Mahmoud Alavi, as well as Ali Razini, a criminal judge who in the past three decades has played a prominent role in the execution and slaughter of thousands in Iran and in the export of terrorism.
Similarly, the list of the rival faction includes Mohammad Yazdi, Mahmoud Shahroudi and Sadeq Larijani; all three heads of the judiciary in this regime which is the apparatus for its murders, crimes and executions, as well as Ahmad Jannati, head of the Guardian Council, and Mesbah Yazdi, head of the most fascist currents of the regime. The actions by both factions are undoubtedly barefaced cases of crime against humanity and they must be brought to face justice.
Speaking on the regime’s sham elections for the parliament and the Assembly of Experts, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, said: The outcome of this theatrics lacks all legitimacy in the view of the Iranian people, and whatever the outcome it will undermine the religious dictatorship in its entirety, will intensify its internal crises, and will redouble the anger and hatred of the people toward the clerical regime and its factions. The sham elections will not have a winner inside the regime because the regime in its entirety will lose. Both the hatred of the Iranian people toward the mullahs and the mullahs’ internal feuds will deepen and intensify.
