Maryam Rajavi: Uprising until freedom and victory

NCRI – Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian resistance, lauded the courage of women and the youth who stood up against the dictatorship of velayat-e faqih on Tuesday, March 8 in Tehran and other cities of Iran.

Particularly addressing the brave girls and women, she said: “On the 100th anniversary of the International Women’s Day, the most glorious and magnificent commemoration of the International Women’s Day is to stand for overthrowing the misogynous rule of mullahs which you have risen for.

“The courageous women who were protesting and demonstrating on Tuesday have a decisive role in eliminating this regime and establishing a society based on freedom and equality.”

Referring to growing uprisings in February and March, Mrs. Rajavi said: “In this great battle, although the regime’s henchmen from IRGC and Bassij resort to all types of brutalities, assault and battery, and arrest of women and the youth, in the end, the hurricane of resistance and uprising will overcome the regime’s machine of suppression.”

Mrs. Rajavi called on all the Iranian people to spread their uprising and protests on the Fire Feast (coming Tuesday) and said: “Turn the Fire Feast into a national uprising against the dark fascism of velayat-e faqih; an uprising for freedom, equality and democracy.

“Continuation of uprisings manifests the powerful will of the Iranian people for freedom. Khamenei and his regime are doomed to failure.”
