Iranian Resistance urges immediate referral of Tehran’s nuclear file to Security Council

NatanzNCRI – Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, called the removal of seals from the Natanz uranium enrichment facility a direct challenge to the will of the international community by the medieval religious dictatorship in Iran. He stressed that the move dispels any doubts about the regime’s decision to acquire nuclear weapons.

Mr. Mohaddessin added that Tehran wants to arm itself with the most dangerous weapon to achieve its ominous ambition of establishing Islamic world rule. He said that today’s move by the mullahs in Iran is a direct consequence of the lack of a firm policy vis-à-vis the regime and the hesitation and delay in referring its file to the United Nations Security Council for adoption of comprehensive sanctions.

Continued appeasement of the religious fascism in Iran, who persists in seeking nuclear weapons, domination of Iraq, and hegemony over the region, has brought the world closer to catastrophe and war. As Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, has declared, the solution to the problem in Iran is neither appeasement of the mullahs or foreign war, but rather democratic change through the Iranian people and resistance.

Mr. Mohaddessin added that the time has come to expel the Iranian regime from the international community of nations and adopt comprehensive sanctions in the United Nations Security Council, and to recognize the Iranian people’s resistance movement for achieving democracy in Iran.
