Iran: New U.S. sanctions, essential to prevent mullahs acquiring nuclear bomb

NCRI – Imposition of sanctions by the U.S. government on a number of the Iranian regime’s entities and individuals that are engaged in the regime’s nuclear and missile programs, involved in sanctions evasion efforts, and support for terrorism, is a proper step to prevent the Iranian regime from acquiring nuclear bomb and to combat this regime’s state terrorism.

This measure should have been taken long ago and should be completed with imposition of comprehensive sanctions on the mullahs’ regime.

“New defense researches organization” (SPND), sanctioned by the U.S. government today, was exposed by the Iranian Resistance for the first time in July 2011. This entity is a secret military organization that has a key role in the mullahs’ nuclear weapon production project. Iranian Resistance disclosed a report of the latest developments and clandestine activities of SPND in May 2014.

As the Iranian Resistance has announced repeatedly, nuclear weapon is part of this regime’s strategy for survival; firmness, comprehensive sanctions aimed at implementation of the Security Council resolutions, complete halt on all enrichment, and acceptance of Additional Protocol is the only way to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapon.
