NCRI – The spokesman for the Iranian regime’s Foreign Ministry said today that the regime is planning to install 3,000 centrifuges for uranium enrichment by March 2007. The mullahs have so far admitted to running two cascades of 164 centrifuges to enrich uranium.
NCRI Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin said in this regard, "The comments by the Foreign Ministry spokesman reaffirm warnings by the Iranian Resistance since last year that the mullahs’ regime will produce the necessary fuel for building at least one nuclear bomb until the end of 2007."
He added that the current circumstances required the imposition of comprehensive diplomatic, arms, technological and oil embargo against the religious fascism ruling Iran to prevent it from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Underscoring that the clerical regime, in a state of weakness and internal crisis, has challenged the international community’s resolve, Mohaddessin said, "Any delay in imposing comprehensive sanctions on the regime will counter the highest interests of the Iranian people and undermine regional and global peace and security."
Addressing those who oppose the imposition of sanctions for economic considerations, he warned that if the clerical regime were to obtain nuclear arms, the least these countries would lose would be their economic interests.
The clerical regime’s disregard for repeated calls by the international community and the UN Security Council to suspend uranium enrichment activities is in part due to the failure of the international community to adopt a decisive policy and the continuation of the European Union’s four-year negotiations with the mullahs’ regime. This policy regrettably only gave the regime more time and enabled it to get closer to acquiring nuclear weapons.
